  Never had an issue with this Char Grill but my mom has and so has my sister with I guess who is the owner's wife from what I heard. But the few times I had been there in the mornings on my own, the guy was really nice. I would have visited more often but spending eight bucks on a burger and shake......I had to crave that to spend that kind of money.

  My debit card was double billed for a food order. Within two hours I caught their error, and called Char-Grill to report it. I was told the manager would return my call. He didn't. The following day I called back, and got the same story. I never had any kind of response from this “manager”. I was left to do a charge back through the bank. The Service and food at Char-Grill's Garner location could be described as mediocre, at best. I ate there mainly because it was convenient to my work. There are some better burger places in the same area now, so I've crossed the Char-Grill off my list. If you want REAL Char-Grill go to the original one on Hillsborough Street!
